Why FAIR is Critical for Today’s Cyber Leaders

Cybersecurity professionals are increasingly expected to identify, assess, and explain risk in business terms. Boards, executives, auditors, and business leaders need to understand what cyber risk means in meaningful terms of financial exposure and operational impact. In this presentation, the FAIR Institute's standards director, Todd Tucker, will introduce the FAIR (Factor Analysis of Information Risk) framework, the international standard for cyber risk analysis and quantification. He'll describe how FAIR breaks risk into clear, understandable factors and why it has become such an important capability for today’s cybersecurity professionals, supporting better prioritization, investment decisions, regulatory reporting, and executive conversations. Todd will close with practical guidance on where to start, including hands on tools, standards, training, certifications, and community resources to continue learning.
